Manatee 311 uses Report2Gov, a Catalis Public Works & Citizen Engagement, LLC ("Catalis") application for citizen engagement services.

PRIVACY POLICY

The privacy practices of this statement (“Privacy Policy”) apply to mobile applications from Catalis. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use our software services or our mobile applications (collectively, the “Services”).

This Privacy Policy describes the information, as part of the normal operation of our Services, we collect from you and what may happen to that information.

By accepting the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use during your login and/or registration, you expressly consent to our use and disclosure of your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and subject to the terms of the Catalis Terms of Use. This Privacy Policy is effective upon acceptance in registration for new registering users.

INFORMATION COLLECTED

Our primary purpose in collecting personal information is to provide you with a safe, secure online application. In order to do so, Catalis must collect information to identify users, and to allow our users to identify each other. We only collect information about you that we consider necessary for achieving this purpose.

If you choose to use our services, we may require you to provide contact and identity information and other personal information as indicated on the forms throughout the Services. Where possible, we indicate which fields are required and which fields are optional. You always have the option to not provide information by choosing not to use a particular service or feature.

Under some circumstances, we may require additional information in order to authenticate you, including, but not limited to: your name or your address.

We may use third party tracking-utility partners to automatically track certain information to increase security such as IP addresses, email addresses, and other information through log files.

If you send us personal correspondence, such as emails, requests for demos or letters, we may collect information, such as name, email address and phone number, into a file specific to you.

OUR USE OF YOUR INFORMATION

We use your information to facilitate the Services you request. We use your information in the file we maintain about you, and other information we obtain from your current and past activities to: resolve disputes; troubleshoot problems; help promote safe exchange of documents for review and delivery; authenticate users, inform you about offers, products, services (if you wish to no longer receive these offers you may follow the unsubscribe instructions contained in each of the email communications you receive), and updates; customize your experience; detect and protect us against error, fraud and other criminal activity; enforce our terms and conditions and policies; and as otherwise described to you at the time of collection. At times, we may look across multiple users to identify problems or resolve disputes, and in particular, we may examine your information to identify users using multiple User IDs or aliases. We may compare and review your personal information for errors, omissions and for accuracy.

As a matter of policy, we do not share, sell or rent any of your information to third parties other than as outlined in this Privacy Policy. However, the following describes some of the ways that your information may be disclosed in the normal scope of business to provide our Services.

Internal Service Providers for Our Operations. We may use third parties that we refer to as internal service providers to facilitate or outsource one or more aspects of the business, product and service operations that we provide to you (e.g., data center hosting), and therefore we may provide some of your personal information directly to these internal service providers. Catalis cooperates with law enforcement inquiries, as well as other third parties to enforce laws, such as: intellectual property rights, fraud and other rights. Therefore, in response to a verified request by law enforcement or other government official relating to a criminal investigation or alleged illegal activity, we can (and you authorize us to) disclose your name, street address, city, state, zip code, country, phone number, email, company name and usage history without a subpoena. Without limiting the above, in an effort to respect your privacy we will not otherwise disclose your information to law enforcement or other government officials without a subpoena, court order or substantially similar legal procedure, except when we believe in good faith that the disclosure of such information is necessary to prevent imminent harm or financial loss or report suspected unlawful activity. Further, we can (and you authorize us to) disclose your name, street address, city, state, zip code, country, phone number, email, and company name to Internal Service Providers under confidentiality agreements, as we in our sole discretion believe necessary or appropriate in connection with an investigation of fraud, intellectual property infringement, piracy, or other unlawful activity.

If Catalis is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, we will endeavor to notify you via email and/or a prominent notice on our Site of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your information.

We may offer publicly accessible blogs or community forums on the Site. You should be aware that any information you provide in these areas may be read, collected, and used by others who access them. To request removal of your personal information from our blog or community forum, contact us at munisupport@catalisgov.com. In some cases, we may not be able to remove your personal information, in which case we will let you know if we are unable to do so and why.

Due to the existing regulatory environment, we cannot ensure that all of your private communications and other personal information will never be disclosed in ways not otherwise described in this Privacy Policy. To the extent that you disclose your information to other parties using our system or follow links to other sites, different rules may apply to their use or disclosure of the information you disclose to them. Since Catalis does not control the privacy policies of third parties, or other individuals’ actions, you are subject to the privacy policies of that third party or those individuals. We encourage you to be sure the recipients are authenticated to your satisfaction before you send them any documents.

SECURITY

Your information is stored on servers located in the United States. These servers are owned and maintained by third parties on Catalis’s behalf. We use reasonable procedural and technical safeguards to protect your personal information against loss or theft as well as unauthorized access and disclosure to protect your privacy, including encryption, "firewalls" and Secure Socket Layers. We employ many different security techniques to protect such data from unauthorized access by users inside and outside the company. However, "perfect security" does not exist on the Internet and Catalis makes no guarantee or warranty of any kind regarding surety of data.
